Why I Made This?
There is a moment in Numbers 11 that I cannot get away from. The Spirit of God came on seventy elders and they began to prophesy. Two of them were not even in the tent — they were still in the camp — and the Spirit fell on them anyway. Joshua panicked and told Moses to stop them.
Moses answered him: “Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them.”
That was the cry of a man who had God’s ear — and what he wanted was for everyone else to have it too. I share that desire. I want to see God’s people receive the Spirit of God. I want to see them empowered — not to sit quietly in church, but to carry weight in their homes, their workplaces, their communities, and their nations.
Moses’ prayer was answered at Pentecost. It is answered again every time one more believer stops living at a distance from a God who is already close. That is the whole reason this series exists.
